Accessibility Statement

Last updated: June 2026

Our commitment

The OASIS project is committed to ensuring that its website, oasis4cancer.com, is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. We are actively working to increase the accessibility and usability of this website, and in doing so adhere to many of the available standards and guidelines.

Standards we follow

This website aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities, and are the internationally recognised standard for web accessibility.

What we have done

We have taken the following steps to improve accessibility across the site:

  • All images include descriptive alternative text
  • The website can be navigated using a keyboard alone
  • Colour contrast ratios meet WCAG 2.1 AA requirements throughout
  • Text can be resized up to 200% without loss of content or functionality
  • The site is structured using semantic HTML to support screen readers
  • All videos include captions where applicable
  • The site is compatible with modern assistive technologies, including screen readers such as NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver

Known limitations

We are aware that some content on this website may not yet fully meet accessibility standards. In particular:

  • Certain scientific figures and diagrams (such as the OASIS Technologies overview) are complex images that may not be fully conveyed through alternative text alone. We are working to provide supplementary text descriptions for these figures.
  • Some older PDF documents linked from this site may not be fully accessible. We are reviewing these on an ongoing basis.

We are committed to addressing these issues as part of our continuous improvement process.
