Dr. Barbara Pistilli

Gustave Roussy

Dr Barbara Pistilli has been Head of the Breast Cancer Unit at Gustave Roussy since March 2021. Each year, the unit treats approximately 2,000 new patients and includes around 300 participants in clinical trials. Its core objective is to offer innovative and personalised strategies at every stage of the care pathway — from breast cancer prevention to post-treatment support, including the development of cutting-edge therapies.
The unit's scientific strategy is built on a strong integration of clinical and translational research within large-scale programmes. Tumour biology plays a central role in guiding clinical development, while biological samples from patients drive translational research projects.
Dr Pistilli also leads OASIS, a major international project funded by the European Union's Horizon Europe programme. The initiative aims to identify predictive biomarkers and companion diagnostics for antibody–drug conjugates (ADCs). She is also the principal investigator of numerous national and international phase II and III clinical trials in both early-stage and metastatic breast cancer.

Jérôme Lemonnier, PhD

Unicancer

Jérôme Lemonnier, PhD, UNICANCER coordinator for the OASIS project, currently heads the Translational Research Unit. He holds dual expertise in both fundamental and clinical research, with 16 years of experience in clinical research and nearly 10 years in basic science.
He previously led the French breast cancer intergroup (UCBG), collaborates with most major French institutions, and maintains numerous international partnerships in both academic and industry settings.
He oversees a team dedicated to academic translational research and the valorization of biological samples and also serves on UNICANCER’s R&D steering committee.

Dr. Géraldine Gebhart, MD, PhD

Jules Bordet Institute (IJB)

Dr. Géraldine Gebhart, MD, PhD, is the clinical oncology director of the Nuclear Medicine Department. Her research focuses on the contribution of molecular imaging to the early assessment of response to anti-HER2 treatments in breast cancer. She has contributed to the development of major pilot studies in this field, including NEOALTO, ZEPHIR, and PHERGAIN.

Charles Truillet, PhD

CEA (French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission)

Dr. Charles Truilllet is a seasoned chemical biologist with extensive expertise in theranostic strategies, specializing in immunoPET imaging and the development of innovative approaches for the early detection and treatment of cancer. He earned his Ph.D. in nanosciences for biomedical applications in 2013 at University Claude Bernard Lyon 1, contributing to the development of the ultrasmall AGuIX nanoplatform, which has progressed to Phase 2 clinical trials. During his postdoctoral work at UCSF, he pioneered in vivo immunoPET imaging of PD-L1 and investigated tumor signaling pathways regulating imaging agent uptake. Since 2017, he has led independent research at CEA and, since 2020, the ImmunoMaps group at BioMaps, where he develops imaging and therapeutic strategies that bridge preclinical discoveries and clinical applications, including two ongoing clinical trials evaluating immune responses in cancer. He maintains strong national and international collaborations, reflecting the translational and global impact of his work in cancer immunology and molecular imaging.

Professor Evi Lianidou, PhD

National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA)

Professor Evi Lianidou, PhD, is a professor of analytical and clinical chemistry. Her main research focuses on the development and clinical evaluation of quantitative RT-qPCR tests in single and multiplex formats, DNA methylation analyses, highly sensitive assays for mutation analysis in CTCs and circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA), as well as the assessment of circulating microRNAs as plasma tumor biomarkers.

Professor Dimitrios Mavroudis, MD, PhD

University of Crete (UoC)

Dimitrios Mavroudis, MD, PhD, is a Professor of Medical Oncology, Head of the Department of Medical Oncology, University General Hospital of Heraklion (UHH), School of Medicine, UoC, Greece and director of the Clinical Trial Unit of the Department. He is also the Director of the Laboratory of Translational Oncology. He has served as the representative of Greek medical oncologists at ESMO and he is also a member of the steering committee for the National Institute of Cancer in Greece. He has authored and co-authored more than 350 scientific papers published in prestigious peer-reviewed journals. Current research is primarily focused on translational activities involving the characterization of circulating tumor cells and the evaluation of circulating nucleic acids. These efforts serve as crucial tools for guiding treatment decisions and real- time monitoring of response or resistance to therapy among cancer patients, with a specific emphasis on breast cancer.

Juan-Jose Ventura

Juan studied Pharmacy and obtained his PhD at the University Complutense of Madrid. He has conducted basic research in international institutions such as EMBL, HHMI, CNIO, University of Cambridge and KU Leuven. He has aimed to find target cells and molecular biomarkers that could be used for diagnosis and therapy of several cancers (Liver, Colon, Lung). After switching his career path, he moved to work as a patient advocate. He has participated in more than 20 EU research projects and helped to bring the voice of patients to the latest research trends.

Fanny Jaulin

ORAKL

Dr. Fanny Jaulin is Scientist with a long-standing engagement for understanding and treating cancer. Motivated by a desire to translate fundamental biology into clinical impact, she first established her academic lab to bridge basic cancer biology with therapeutic applications by leveraging tumor avatars to personalized cancer care. 
Driven by the strong will to build transformative solutions and deliver the promise of personalized medicine to cancer patients, she launched Orakl oncology, a Gustave Roussy spin-off in 2023.  Orakl Oncology is reimagining how drug development decisions are made. Their next generation of insight platforms is at the intersection of real-world data and biology. Fueled by a collection of functional tumor avatars—derived from real cancer patients—their proprietary, AI-powered predictive engine delivers actionable insights to significantly improve clinical success rates, reduce costs and timeline and deploy the therapeutic arsenal to fight cancer.

Gary Brandam

Elikya

Gary Brandam is a biotech entrepreneur and experienced C-level biotech executive with over 15 years of experience in drug development, product launch, corporate strategy, and startup company build-up in the areas of oncology, rare diseases, and gene therapies. In addition to his role as COO of Landmark BioVentures AG, he also serves as advisor to each of LBV Nexus companies and CEO of both Elikya Therapeutics and Massalia Therapeutics.
Previously, he was a manager at Blue Matter Consulting (2015-2023) where he advised several global pharmaceutical companies launching their oncology and/or rare disease products in the US, Europe, and other markets worldwide. Mr. Brandam served as project lead within Avicenna Oncology GmbH, an Antibody Drug Conjugate start-up located in Basel (2015-2017).
Mr. Brandam earned an MS in Biotechnology Engineering from the National School of Biotechnology in Bordeaux, France (2011).
